Sound as Color
Sound As Color converts audible frequencies to the visible spectrum, using color, brightness, and size to represent frequency and amplitude. The result allows listeners to enhance their sensory experience of music by "seeing" a visually appealing range of sound.
Spectroscapes
Spectroscapes is a physical data visualization that explores music as shapes and brings individual songs to the surface as physical objects that take up space. The "landscapes" generated are drawn from the signal strength of frequencies present in the waveform.
Palette of Art
Palette of Art is a poster series investigating the frequency of color occurrence in famous masterpieces throughout history. The series interprets color through an adaptive color wheel, highlighting the relationships among the colors and encouraging viewers to interact with their favorite paintings in a different way—through a singular construct that emphasizes color over content.
